Causeway is a sculptural exploration of how natural forms can be restructured through systems of repetition and geometry. The series is  inspired by the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland, a landscape of interlocking basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic activity. Nature, under pressure and time, self-organizes into patterns that appear designed. An accidental architecture. Placed in a recognizable grid, these fragments reference the tension between organic unpredictability and imposed structure. Nature made this structure. We have no qualms with taking it as out own. And in that it may be loved, or diminished.
