Tokyo’s train routes are faithfully preserved yet reconfigured. The aesthetic elements overlaid upon them transform these functional pathways into new visual elements that will bring out the system’s complexity and weave Japan’s old and new.
The guiding composition is a collaboration with geography, time and the movement of millions.

In the center lies the still form of the imperial palace, quite and separate, despite the energy surrounding it.
