This work was added of Found Compositions,  a larger version of one of the first in the series. Again, the composition comes from Tokyo’s rail and subway network. The inward moving lines reflect the density and flow of the city, while the Imperial Palace remains calm at the center. What interests me is that the composition was not simply invented. It was shaped over time by history, infrastructure, urban growth, and the daily movement of millions of people. The work contrasts that constant urban activity with a quiet, stable core.
